OnePlus Mobile is expected to launch its flagship killer OnePlus 4 sometime in the second quarter of 2017. Based on speculations, it could launch the new phone in the UK in May or June 2017 and sell it June or July.
Since OnePlus is a known flagship killer, it would not launch this year until after the rollout of major phones made in Asia targeted for a 2017 release such as the HTC 11, LG G6, and Samsung Galaxy Note S8. But OnePlus 4 has to be introduced to the market close enough to the launch of the three flagships so it could ride on the similarities. So far, among these three phones, only Samsung has a rumored launch date on April 18.
Other specs of the upcoming OnePlus 4 include an AMOLED display likely 5.5-inch, could be a curved screen, with dual camera and waterproofing. Similar to the One Plus 3T, storage would begin from 64GB.
Meanwhile, GizOK reports that OxygenOS 4.0.1 would be rolled out for the OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3. It would follow the launch of the Android 7.0 Nougat-based OxygenOS 4.0 update for the two models in late 2016. Among the improvements to the latest update are the more reliable proximity sensors during calls, better system stability, and the APN settings are updated for several carriers.
