The devs accused OnePlus of delaying the release of the kernel source code of the Nougat update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T and, in general, of playing fast and loose with its open-source obligations borne by the use of Android.

The upcoming update will be OnePlus' first of the year, following the year-end release of Android 7.0 Nougat update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones on Dec. 31. The latest update will update the OxygenOS to version 4.0.2.

Now OnePlus made available the Nougat kernel source on its Github repository, which should please developers, as well as users waiting for improved custom ROMs for their OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T devices.

Following the big release of the OxygenOS 4.0 update, OnePlus Mobile have been quite swift in addressing minor bugs reported by users. Evidence to this is the quick release of two supporting updates.
